We had a first-class experience at The Ampersand Inn which is gorgeous B&B tucked away in the woods in Newton, NJ. The rooms are very clean, beautifully decorated, and the lobby, sitting area, pool area & dining area are exquisite. Both Irene (Owner & Innkeeper) and Alethia (Chef) are truly a blessing. Irene is full of energy and well connected within the surrounding community. She made sure that all our hotel accommodations were met in a timely manner. Alethia catered to our dietary needs, and her breakfast meals were unique each day. This was not a self-serve fast food breakfast. This was an actual sitting down at a common table (if you want) and communicate, socialize, and connect with other guests. The breakfast meal was brought to you at the dining table, and the entree was usually determined the day before. Great experience; We'll be back!

A few weeks ago, my husband and I spent 3 wonderful days at the Ampersand. It was our first time there, and it really exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have had a better experience. The staff was warm and very accommodating. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. We spent time with the owner, Irene, who was so warm and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy and provided recommendations about what to do in the area. We live locally and the Ampersand will be our go to spot for relaxation. We can’t wait to get back there.

Enjoyable quick getaway! The experience was top notch from the moment we drove in. We stayed in the Quinlan, which was lovely. We were invited to tour the other rooms which one is lovelier than the next. You can’t go wrong. We were greeted by the host, Irene and met the rest of the staff. They are all very personable and readily helpful. Full of stories you feel welcomed and at home from start to finish. The location is perfect. Close to hiking, sight-seeing and to town for dining or taking in a concert at the local theater! We highly recommend. Perfect stay!

This was the absolute best place for us and our wedding party before our big day! Irene is an absolute gem and everyone loved her. She was so responsive and accommodating and made us all feel so warm, comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend the Ampersand Inn because it was such a special experience. We’ll definitely be back for our anniversary. ❤️

I had a wonderful stay at The Ampersand Inn and highly recommend it. There are several trails nearby, and the location is bucolic. The staff was attentive, and I treated myself to a reflexology massage. I had a great time in the nearby town of Lafayette - a chocolate shop, a book shop, and a cafe! Thank you, Irene, for the relaxing stay.

The Ampersand is maybe the nicest B and B I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful room and very friendly vibe. I highly recommend it. Breakfast was very good. Room had a fireplace and soaking tub. Very quiet and romantic place. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful.

Drop a four star hotel in the middle of a forested park. Stayed in Pattison room. Cozy and quiet, with the park surrounding the Inn we were surrounded by nature. The fireplace warmed us both in the bed and in the soaking tub great feature. Breakfast great and the staff were just the sweetest people. We hiked right from the Inn, and biked as well. The Ampersand is made for cozy, comfortable, relaxation. The setting inside the park makes this place so special. Minutes from anything you need, but nestled in the forest. Our new spot for sure.

We visited for my wife’s birthday and had the best time! Irene, the Innkeeper was so nice, and friendly! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable! The Inn is in a great location, hiking right out the back door that leads to Kittatinny Valley State Park and great restaurants within a 15 minute drive! We highly recommend the Ampersand Inn! Connecting people!

Wonderful stay at The Ampersand Inn. My wife & I plus 2 adult daughters were in town for a friend's wedding. Picked the perfect place to stay for the event. We were welcomed in a bit early, for check-in, which allowed us to get ready for our special occasion. Later that eve we returned to two beautiful rooms had a great night sleep. In the morning, we were treated to a pleasant country breakfast. Thank You Irene!!!! Only regret I had was that I didn't bring a walking stick and hiking shoes - was unaware that property was adjacent to a park with many hiking trails. A 5-mile hike would have capped off a perfect weekend!!!!

Simply one of the best getaways we've ever experienced. Every detail in this fantastic inn was perfect. We loved the pool, gorgeous view, and nearby state park. The owner/host and staff were attentive to our every wish. Breakfast and snacks were yummy. Our room was a delight, as the mattress was heavenly, the decor and lighting were exceptional, and the cleanliness was A-1. The fellow travelers were friendly and fun. We slept like babies. Can't wait to return in the fall.
